Description: Combining traditional craft techniques with design restraint, the New-Shaker Sideboard is inspired from an imagined rural idyll, nostalgic yet timeless. 

An honest, useful and beautiful cupboard, it’s perfect to display and store your favourite objects. The refined profile, tactile elements and versatility makes it at home in your sitting or dining room, but equally, any room. It has four doors and each section has a generous adjustable oak lipped shelf. The solid oak top and inside are finished with natural oil.

Hand painted with our signature palette of inherently natural colours, the grain of the oak in the door panels makes a gentle impression on the hand painted finish.

Dimensions: width 206cm, depth 45.5cm, height 74.5cm

Materials and Finish: Solid Oak top, solid Tulip wood frame painted with intensely pigmented, low VOC, water based paint with a low sheen finish and internally sealed with natural Osmo Oil. Doors hung on traditional solid drawn brass hinges. Knobs are hand-hammered steel finished with bees wax.

Care: Gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth free from products.

Pilgrim’s design handwriting is restrained, crafting products with a quiet aesthetic. This is perfectly aligned to the Shakers design principles, guided by simplicity, honesty and utility. Our New-Shaker collection honours these decades-old principles, gently evolving the proportions and purpose, to create cabinets equally beautiful, useful and timeless.

Materials are hand chosen for their beauty and suitability and traditional techniques are employed, whilst taking our time in craft. Read more about our approach here.

Pilgrim's Signature Colour Palette

We are surrounded by the beauty and shades of the South Downs, colours naturally in perfect harmony and where we call home. 

It’s these colours that inspired our first signature palette of inherently natural colours. A palette to enhance most interior schemes, from calming greens like our Appleterre to Harebell Pink, known to reduce stress.

Seven intensely pigmented colours imagined from the harmonised shades of the South Downs: Sussex White, Flint, Gorse Bud, Harebell Pink, Chalk Stream, Appleterre and Dew Pond.
