Above all we are here to help, so if anything is unclear, seems ominous or you have any other questions please contact us.
Our cabinets arrive fully assembled but may require some ‘levelling’ when positioning to avoid mis-alignment of the doors. This is common in products with four small points of contact, the feet, unless your floor is dead level. Rest assured this is not a product fault. Levelling is simple and means a small ‘shim’ is placed under one of the back legs. We will provide required shims with the product.
We make great efforts to photograph and represent our products accurately. However digital screens vary, just as the light in everyones home is different, so we cannot guarantee the product colour you receive will look exactly the same as on screen. When you order a painted or upholstered piece, we will post you a sample of the colour you’ve ordered, to ensure you like it and it’s what you’re expecting. To help you choose, we can also provide samples in advance of ordering. If you would like some please enquire here.
Wood is a natural product with each piece entirely unique. Different grain, texture, character and colour shades will occur. This is what makes wood so beautiful. We hand select all the materials we use for its visual appeal and none of the character will impair strength or suitability. Therefore the wood on your delivered product will look different to the one we photographed. Please enquire here if you would like a sample. For larger projects you are welcome to join us to select wood for use.
We aim to describe products clearly and accurately. You will find information on materials used, dimensions, finish and care on each individual product page. If you need more information or more clarity, please enquire.
All our furniture is hand-made to order. It’s because of this we are able to change the sizes and other elements of most products. For example we could change the species of wood, the glass type, hardware, internal configuration or paint colour. We also offer a bespoke service and welcome commissions for your truly unique piece, imagined by you and created in collaboration with us. If you would like to make any changes or commission a bespoke piece please enquire here. Find out more about our bespoke service here.
Our furniture is often large so please ensure it will fit through to your room of choice; the room may be large but access may be tight. Dimensions are clearly shown on each individual product page. Our delivery partners are experienced in delivering large, heavy pieces of furniture, but the onus is on you to be confident the furniture will fit. This is particularly relevant if the furniture is going upstairs or there are any tight turns. We will do our best to help so please get in touch if you think you have anything other than straight forward access.
Delivery lead time is different depending on the furniture chosen. Please see individual product pages where there is a guide to the usual lead time. This is how long it usually takes to be made and ready for delivery. When it is ready we will let you know and our delivery partner will contact you to arrange a time to deliver. They will deliver to your room of choice, unpack, inspect with you and remove all packaging.
We charge delivery per order, regardless of how many pieces you buy, so you will only be charged for the largest/heaviest item in your order.
Depending on what you order, delivery is either by our preferred courier or specialist white-glove delivery partner with two people delivering to your room of choice, unpacking, inspecting with you and removing packaging. Delivery charges are calculated during your checkout.
If you think your delivery is anything other than straight forward please contact us here.

Each individual product page highlights how to look after that piece. In most cases it is little more than wiping with a soft, lint-free cloth and you shouldn’t use any products such as wax or polish.
We recommend you don’t put glasses or anything hot on the surfaces of any of our products without the use of a suitable mat.
Over time you may wish to re-oil the surface of certain products. Please contact us for help and advice with this.
All our products are hand-made in the UK. Either by us in our West Sussex workshop or by small-scale craftsmen and artisans we’ve collaborated with. Find out more about us.
