Description: The Birce cabinet collection is designed with a visual calm to celebrate the clean lines and showcase the soft warm tones and grain of the Maple, whilst creating the perfect back drop for your treasured objects. The design acknowledges its evolution from traditional home cabinets with a contrast of contemporary and tradition with considered tactile details such as hand-made door knobs and traditional hinges.

A beautiful and functional cabinet, perfect for kitchens, utility, studies or dining rooms, but could also work in other living rooms. With a focus on spacious everyday usability, the wall cupboard has two adjustable shelves and the whole cabinet has a natural oiled finish.

Dimensions: width 81cm, depth 32cm, height 44cm

Materials and Finish: Maple faced ply wood (PEFC and CE2+certified) sealed with natural Osmo Oil. Door fronts painted with intensely pigmented, low VOC, water based paint with a low sheen finish and hung on traditional solid drawn brass hinges. Knobs are hand-hammered steel finished with bees wax. 

Care: Gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth free from products.

The Birce Cabinet is designed with an everyday functionality and useful purpose in mind, presented with a quiet aesthetic to gently enhance your home.

Evolved from an ambition to create a contemporary piece, acknowledging traditional cabinet design principles, offering an antidote to other more common and transient designs. This is achieved through celebrating the clean lines of the material, refined proportions and paring back details and anything unnecessary whilst adding tone and a tactile element through the hardware and finishes.

All Birce Cabinets are hand-made by artisans in our West Sussex workshop. This approach means we are able to offer bespoke pieces and alterations. If you would like any alterations or to commission a unique piece please enquire here.

We are surrounded by the beauty and shades of the South Downs, colours naturally in perfect harmony and where we call home. 

It’s these colours that inspired our first signature palette of inherently natural colours. A palette to enhance most interior schemes, from calming greens like our Appleterre to Harebell Pink, known to reduce stress.

Seven intensely pigmented colours imagined from the harmonised shades of the South Downs: Sussex White, Flint, Gorse Bud, Harebell Pink, Chalk Stream, Appleterre and Dew Pond.
